※The vibration isolation characteristics diff er depending on the load on the vibration isolation mount.
・If the load is less than the minimum load, the spring does no dteflect and does not produce a vibration isolation effect.
・If the load is greater than the maximum load, the spring cannot deflect any further and does not produce a vibration isolation effect.
In cases like these, replace the vibration isolation mount with one that is suitable for the load.
The vibration isolation eff ect (vibration transmissibility) of the vibration isolation mount is determined by the load tolerance and excitation frequency (vibration frequency) of the target object.
Select the best vibration isolation mount according to the load tolerance per vibration isolation mount and the vibration frequency of
the target object.
(1) Investigate the applied load per vibration isolation mount.
Units (N) Applied load/support locations
(2) Investigate the excitation frequency (Hz) of the vibration isolation target object.
Excitation frequency (Hz) = Equipment rotation speed (rpm)/60 (seconds)
(3) Select the appropriate type from the graph showing the relationship between load and vibration isolation lower limit frequency.
(4) Check the height of the vibration isolation mount according to the specifi cation type and load, and check that the selected mount
can be installed.
Note: All of the given values are calculated values and are not guaranteed values.
Load and Vibration Isolation Lower Limit Frequency Load and Vibration Isolation Mount Height
Vibration Isolation/Vibration Removal Characteristics : Vertical Direction (BML-10)
Example:
(1) When a 5 kg motor is supported at 5 locations, the applied load per vibration isolation mount is 10 N.
(2) Frequency = Vibrations per second
For a 1000 rpm motor, 1000 (rpm)/60 (s)=16.7 (Hz)
(3) From the graph of load and vibration isolation lower limit frequency, usage with 10 N and 16.7 Hz > 10 Hz gives the BML-10.
(4) From the graph of load and vibration isolation mount height, the mount height when installed is 35 mm.
(5) From the graph of vibration isolation/vibration removal characteristics, the expected vibration isolation eff ect is a vibration transmissibility of approx. -18 dB (1/8).
To install the vibration isolation mounts, either affi x directly by bolts or affi x using a dedicated mounting plate (special included accessory).
(1) Affi x Directly Using Bolts (2) Affi x Using a Dedicated Mounting Plate
